Docker on mac sound2/18/2023 For this demonstration, we already have some custom Mac OS sounds we found online (macossounds.zip), so we’ll use those. Before you begin, you’ll either have to make some custom sound effects, or you can download something already made. Now click the TCP/IP tab in the pane that appears. Then click the Advanced button in the lower right. Select the kind of connection youre using from the list at left probably Ethernet for a wired network, or Wi-Fi for a wireless one. You can add custom sound effects to your Mac with little difficulty. To set a static IP directly on your Mac, open System Preferences > Network. This last option doesn’t play a sound when you actually click on the volume slider on the menubar and change the volume, rather when you change the volume using the special keyboard keys. Select Remove From Dock (If you want to remove a Folder icon, hold down the Control key and then click and hold its icon to see it’s menu.) Add Applications To The Dock. Click and hold on a dock icon to display its menu. You will also be able to change the volume of all sound alerts, turn them off completely (by unchecking “Play user interface sound effects”), and decide whether you want to hear feedback whenever you change the volume on your system. To rearrange icons on the Dock, click and drag an icon to either the left or right. By contrast, a virtualbox or vmware fusion VM does have the ability to do passthrough audio. When you click on a sound effect, you can hear what it sounds like and it will be set as your system alert.īelow the list of sound effects, you can elect to play them through your computer’s internal speakers or some other sound source. The Docker-for-Mac VM doesn't have any sound passthrough device, so there isn't anything that you could take advantage of from that angle.
